Daar Communications posts N681.9m Q1 loss

Daar Communications Plc has reported a loss before tax of N681.9m for the first quarter of 2017 compared to N687.9m loss posted in the corresponding period of 2016.

This was contained in the firm’s filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

Its 2017 Q1 revenue stood at N904.6m, as against N794m recorded in 2016 Q1.

Also, Tantalizers Plc reported a half-year loss before tax of N308.8m for 2017, compared to N976.4m posted in the corresponding period of 2016.

Its half-year revenue stood at N926.3m, as against N976.4m reported a year ago.

For its 2016 full-year result, Daar Communications reported a loss before tax of N3bn.

The 2016 N3bn loss before taxation represented a worse scenario compared to the loss of N1.48bn posted in 2015.

For the 2016 full-year, revenue stood at N3.73bn compared to N7.09bn recorded the previous year.
