The former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, and 54 other officers bowed out of the Nigeria Police Force on Saturday at a pull-out parade, which took place at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Representing the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Intelligence Investigation Department, Peace Abdallah, commended the retiring officers for their service to the nation
She said, “I commend the parade commander and all the retiring senior officers. And their families, we say a big thank you for the support.
“As you bow out today, the IG, the entire police and the nation say a big thank you. You have served well and may God reward you abundantly.”
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Hilda Harrison, while delivering a speech at the event, said, the passion to serve the nation had propelled them to join the police force despite the risks involved.
