The Director General, National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), Major General Suleiman Kazaure, has expressed delight in the conduct and performance of corps member during the just concluded 2019 general elections.
He stated this while responding to questions from journalists shortly during an assessment tour of the facilities at the temporal Orientation camp Okada, Edo State.
“I am satisfied with the conduct and performance of corps member during the 2019 general election. They have done well and made the NYSC proud,” he said.
Kazaure, admonished the Corp members to pay attention to the skill acquisition training programme during the orientation in order to acquire skills and be self-reliant and employers of labour, said it is no longer news that office jobs are rarely available.
He urged them to shun all forms of sharp practices such as advance free fraud, cultism, drug abuse and violence and be good ambassador of Nigeria, NYSC and their various institutions which found them worthy in learning and character.
“My dear corps members, I want you to shun all forms of sharp practices like drug, cultism and violence and be a good ambassador to your parents, nation and to the scheme” he said.
Earlier, the state coordinator of the scheme, Mr. Adebayo Ojo had commended the director general for his support even as he appealed for a new ambulance to meet the need of corps members on camp.
