Former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari has described the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emifele as a gentleman who devotes his time and life in search of valuable education to prepare himself well in his commitment and determination to serve his country very effectively.
A statement in Gusau, the state capital, by the former governor’s media aide, Malam Ibrahim Dosara, said Yari spoke in Lagos during the celebration of Emefiele’s second term in office and celebration of God blessings in his life.
The former governor noted that the CBN governor has done a great job by taking Nigeria out of recession within a short period.
Yari hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for considering Emefiele for a second term in office as the apex bank’s helmsman to enable him complete his plans and mission for the development of the nation’s economy and projecting prospects in commerce, industry, agriculture and households income.
Emifele’s service to humanity, Yari said, was also commendable.
The former governor said the initiatives the CBN governor put in place in the areas of agriculture, industry, daily income for individuals and households had helped Nigeria and Nigerians as well as strengthened the nation’s economy.
“Mr Emefiele’s wealth of experience has energised and developed Nigeria’s economy so much that it called for national celebration of his achievements,” Yari said.
He urged President Buhari to continue to utilise the CBN governor’s experience to take Nigeria to the Next Level.
Dignitaries at the celebration included Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu and Governors Abubakar Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa) and Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna).
