The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Ibrahim Shuaibu, yesterday stressed the need to ensure that only qualified graduates are mobilised for the national youth service.
He was speaking in Abuja at a maiden meeting of the NYSC management and corps- producing institutions in Africa.
He said the meeting was aimed at bridging the communication gap between the scheme and tertiary institutions in Africa.
He said the gap had constituted impediments to the mobilisation process.
Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory Administration, Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa, said while institutions were constantly subjected to the regulatory control of relevant agencies of government on quality assurance, the government should forge a mutual beneficial relationship with foreign institutions being patronised by Nigerians.
