Suspected land grabbers on Saturday allegedly shot a 34-year-old bricklayer, on Saturday Abdulahi Olalekan, in the jaw while he was working on a building in Falokun village in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Our correspondent gathered that Olalekan was with other labourers when the hoodlums stormed the site and started shooting.
It was gathered that a stray bullet hit Olakekan in the jaw during the melee.

A representative of the property company, Alexander Waheed, was said to have written a petition to the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, to institute an investigation into the matter.
In a related development, a suspected cultist, Biodun Adelokun, has been arrested by policemen in Ogun State for allegedly attempting to eliminate a member of a rival cult in Ogijo, in the Sagamu Local Government Area.
Adelokun was reportedly arrested with a locally-made cut-to-size pistol, a live cartridge and an axe.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident, adding that two other members escaped arrest.
Oyeyemi said Adelokun was arrested on July 24 by policemen attached to the Ogijo division, led by the DPO, CSP Muhammed Baba.
“The suspect confessed to being a member of the dreaded Aiye cult and the chief executioner of his group.
“He stated further that he was on his way with two others to eliminate a member of another cult before he was arrested by the DPO and his men.”
