The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has congratulated Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and Bayelsa State Governor-elect David Lyon on their victory in the last Saturday’s governorship elections.
In a congratulatory statement, the party’s Chairman Paul Omotosho attributed the victories to the superlative performance and proactive governance being provided by the APC-led Federal Government.
Omotosho, who doubles as Special Adviser, (Political Matters) to the governor, said the victory of the APC candidates did not come as a surprise. According to him, it has further demonstrated the fact that no state in the federation will like to continue with the impunity and government by deceit offered by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Sympathising with states that “are still in PDP’s bondage”, Omotosho assured them that they would soon be liberated.
“APC has proved to Nigerians beyond reasonable doubt that it has come to put an end to the antics of the PDP in its bid to turn Nigeria to a sterile and hopeless state,” he added.
